|
The major objective for this study is to evaluate current HMA density criteria via performance information largely from WSDOT's Pavement Management System and the QA Specification/SAM (Statistical Analysis of Materials) Database. On specified projects, take core samples and compare the in-place density to the constructed density to determine the ultimate pavement density. Based on these evaluations, reassess the current statistically based HMA specification and propose appropriate changes to enhance HMA performance. |
