The original contract was modified to include additional funds to WSU to issue a subcontract to Central Pre-mix Prestress for the construction of the test specimens. In addition, the orginal contract end date was modified to August 31, 2009. The 7 column specimens for this study have been constructed and delivered to the testing laboratory at WSU. All testing frames, fixtures, and loading apparatus have been fabricated. The retrofit design for the columns has been finalized, and all retrofit materials have been ordered from suppliers. |

Retrofit measures will be installed to the test specimens. Testing of the column specimens will begin after the retrofit installation, estimated to be around the end of July. Data from the column tests will be collected and analyzed, and the final report documenting findings, conclusions and recommendations will be provided to the WSDOT Bridge Office. |
