Objective

Project Progress

During this period, Task 4 — Preliminary tests (F/T tests, dynamic tests, and fracture tests) have been conducted. The data for the specimens (for one source of low degradation aggregate) being conditioned up to about 700 F/T cycles are obtained and analyzed.

New Period Proposed Activity

Task 4 — Preliminary tests (F/T tests, dynamic tests, and fracture tests) for one source of low degradation aggregate are in process, and the specimens will be conditioned and tested up to 1,500 F/T cycles (which require about total of about 300 days to achieve).

Problems

None.

Implementation and Other Relevant Information

The PIs (Drs. Pizhong Qiao and David I. McLean) have been in close communication with the WSDOT
Mat. Lab and research manager, regarding the research tasks and project progress. Dr. Pizhong Qiao reported the project progress at the WSDOT Mat. on July 1, 2009.
